If an order isn’t appearing in StockShare and you see an error like “Request Denied” in Shopify, this is almost always caused by the Shopify payment status, not StockShare or the product setup.
Why this happens
StockShare can only process orders that Shopify marks as PAID.
If the order is Authorized, Pending, Failed, Voided, or Expired, StockShare will reject the fulfilment and record the reason in your Shopify order timeline.
This is not related to:
how the product was published
StockShare stock levels
supplier settings
What to check in Shopify
Go to:
Orders → Select the order → Timeline
Look for events such as:
“Payment capture failed”
“Authorization expired”
“Gateway voided authorization”
“Payment refunded/voided”
These indicate why the payment never reached “Paid.”
Common Causes
The most likely reasons include:
Manual payment capture enabled
– Shopify authorizes but does not auto-capture funds.Payment capture failed
– Bank decline, gateway error, 3D Secure issue, etc.Authorization was voided/refunded/edited
– Someone on the team changed the order.Authorization expired
– Funds weren’t captured within the gateway’s expiry window.Gateway reversed the capture
– PayPal, Stripe, etc. sometimes revert payments back to “Authorized.”
How to fix it
Open the Shopify order timeline.
If valid, capture the payment manually.
StockShare will automatically retry fulfilment once the status becomes Paid.
