Why won't a product sync (publish) from Shopify to StockShare?

Draft products, products without inventory/stock, product description or price do not sync from Shopify to Stockshare. Also, ensure products do not have the same SKU code and Barcode. Duplicate products create a conflict with the Shopify/Stockshare application. 


This is the most efficient method for regularly or quickly finding and removing duplicates. Alternatively you can download and export your products in a CSV.

  1. Install a duplicate finder app: Go to the Shopify App Store and search for "duplicate finder." Popular options include Duplicate Finder, WebAppsLive ‑ Duplicate Finder, and CS ‑ Delete Duplicate Products.
  2. Connect your store: After installing, connect the app to your Shopify store.
  3. Scan for duplicates: The app will scan your products for duplicates based on the criteria you choose (title, SKU, or barcode).
  4. Delete duplicates: The app will provide a list of duplicates and usually offers tools for bulk deletion, which can save significant time compared to manual methods. 

 

 

"I want to set a product active for a retailer, but not have it as active on my Shopify store."

As you cannot sync a draft product from Shopify to Stockshare, you will need to make sure the product is active in Shopify for it to sync to the retailer in StockShare. Then we recommend delisting the product from your sales channels in your Shopify Store as a solution.
